REGULATIONS
(Effect from April 2007 onwards)

ELIGIBILITY

i)Only Women Candidates are eligible
ii)Candidates should have 55% overall in PG Degree
iii)Candidates with Post Graduate and M.PhilDegrees from a recognized University will be admitted to the Ph.D Full Time Programmeiv)Post Graduates and / or those who have been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (UGC) are eligible for admission for Full Time Ph.D Programme.

Professors, Readers, Lecturers in Mother Teresa Women’s University, Department / Colleges, who have (a) three years of post doctoral experience, (b) a minimum of three research articles published in recognized research journals, (c) a minimum of five years of Post Graduate Teaching experience and (d) those who are currently involved in academic work retired academicians can continue to guide and can function as supervisor but will not be approved as guides for the first time. However their eligibility to be supervisors is subject to the approval of the University. The bio-data of the persons to be approved as supervisors will be scrutinized by the Heads of the Departments / Chairperson, Board of Studies and based on their recommendations will grant approval the Vice-Chancellor.

2. The Candidates shall apply to the Dean Researchfor the prescribed Application Form (pay online Rs.550/-) which shall not be refunded.Refer University Websitr
3. The application duly completed may be sent to the Dean Researchfor processing together with the fee of Rs.2000/-(pay online)which shall not be refunded.
4. An Applicant who satisfies the conditions stipulated will be registered in the first instance only provisionally. On receipt of the completed application for registration and the fees prescribed the University will issue a Registration notification showing the name of the candidate the date of registration and the year in which the candidate is entitled to submit her thesis.
